Do You Have an Appointment with Your Kids in Child Custody and Co-Parenting?

Do you Have an appointment with your kids in #childcustody and #coparenting? Court hearings are set by appointment; that’s called due process and it’s important enough to be in the United States Constitution. Why not have specified times and days for  your Facetime or your phone call with your kids?

“Because adults ought to be able to figure this out,” you might hear from other folks, even lawyers and judges, who don’t know your life, your situation or what you’ve been through. That’s called victim-blaming, and such a viewpoint makes you responsible for the Other Side’s behavior. And that is neither fair, appropriate nor even practical or efficient. It’s virtue signaling and an all too easy way for someone to feel superior in an internet world of family and parenting wrought with the joy-stealing thief of comparison.

A specific time and day for communication is not a surrender but is a solution. It helps both sides. Each can schedule their day or afternoon and PROTECT the rest of their day from phone tag, confusion or even harassment. And if you do live in the ivory tower with some of these other folks we mentioned, it does no harm to have a “default” communication you guys can hold hands, sing Kumbaya and deviate from as you find convenient.

We couldn’t run Foxtrot for one day without appointments, and we work with so many folks trying to operate the most important thing in their lives with the most difficult person in their lives. Do everyone, especially your kids, a favor and book an appointment.
