Random Rules! — Authentication of Documents (School Records, Drug Tests) in your Child Custody Case
You can’t just want into Court with a stack of documents and expect the Court to believe that they are what we say they are. If you didn’t produce a document or receive it in a certain way, you can’t “authenticate” it. And your Child Custody lawyer should be able to help properly obtain and authenticate the document so they can be admitted and considered by the Judge in your case.
This is based on Rule 901 of the Alabama Rules of Evidence, which you can check out in full here: https://judicial.alabama.gov/docs/library/rules/ev901.pdf
