You Have Your Permission to XYZ in Your Child Custody Case…

On this #FoxtrotFriday, you have my permission to be happy and hopeful.

Did you know that getting permission from someone, it could literally be anyone, can significantly increase one’s ability to find peace and joy in whatever they’re “getting permission” to do? Even better, you can give yourself permission.

What important decisions or activities are you seeking permission from someone else on? We see this a lot in our line of work. “I’m worried what the Other Side will do or say if I stand up for myself and my children and do this or that.”

These folks begin to realize they’re seeking permission to live their lives the way they want from the absolute last person on Earth that’s going to give it to them. The good news is that our legal system gives our clients permission to bring certain issues to the Court’s attention if need be.

In the meantime, consider what you’d like to do, haven’t done and perhaps whether all you’re waiting on your own permission to do it?
