Child Custody Devotional – Deuteronomy 31:8
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you…Deuteronomy 31:8
In our “devotional” posts, we’ve been talking about traits of leadership, but Harvard Business School Professor Francesca Gino makes the point that flexibility and knowing when to be a good, effective follower is a crucial, if paradoxical, trait of good leaders.
Believers of all stripes follow the tenets set down by their sacred texts. Christians follow the example that Jesus set. We are also to respect our elders on this Earth and consider their wisdom.
There’s a lot of talk about disruption, about doing things your way, but whether it’s following Christ’ example, a parent or peer you admire or respect, or maybe just the advice of a author, blogger or #ChildCustody lawyer whom you trust and wants the best for you and your family, it’s okay not to be the leader all the time (and it’s certainly less exhausting).
