Child Custody Terminology – Abandonment
Folks toss around legal terms much too lightly, especially in #ChildCustody. For example, when someone says they “signed over their rights” to their child, that phrase doesn’t mean anything, or rather could mean dozens of different things, without a great deal more context. ‘Alienation’ is another example and another discussion for another day. Here, we look at the technical definition of the term ‘abandonment’ under Alabama law. ~ Would it help to arm yourself with information, advice and advocacy that can help you see and make decisions in your situation clearly, not for what you think it might be, hope it might be or what your buddy or the internet says it is?
